This is the town we call home, and the one we love introducing our guests to.
Masvingo is one of Zimbabwe's most storied towns, and also its most historically significant. Just a short drive away, within Masvingo Province, lies the Great Zimbabwe National Monument , ancient stone ruins dating back to the 11th century, and one of the largest and oldest stone structures in Southern Africa. Built between the 11th and 15th centuries, it once served as the capital of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the very origin of the country's name. Walking among its walls is walking through the story of a civilization, and it's one of the reasons guests return to Masvingo again and again.
